Romford Golf Club this week celebrated both the men’s and women’s captains traditional ‘Drive-Ins’ event.

Sunday saw 300 members and guests enjoy new men’s captain John Fitch drive in as Santa on his sleigh with all his young helpers, pulled by reindeer all the way from Lapland.

And on Wednesday, new women’s Carole Loveday and helpers dressed as the Suffragettes to mark 100 years to the day since women were allowed to be elected into parliament.

Next year is set to be a special year for Romford GC as they will be celebrating 125 year since the club’s inception in 1894.

There are lots of activities are planned throughout 2019, with Fitch and Loveday proud to have been selected as captains for what will be such an historic year for the club.

It looks set to be a memorable few months ahead for all involved with Romford GC and at their base in Heath Lane.
