Golf Club looking ahead to Pro-Am
Maylands Golf Club is celebrating a new partnership with Essex-based insurance company CCV Sports and Leisure.
The Maylands 2012 Pro-Am is being held on Wednesday June 6, in aid of the Make a Wish Foundation.
It is supported by CCV Sports and Leisure, who offer experience and expertise in arranging insurance cover for golf, sports, social and leisure clubs, as well as personal insurance for golfers through their Caddysure scheme.
The Make a Wish Foundation grants wishes to children and young people fighting threatening conditions and has granted over 7,300 wishes since 1986.
The Pro-Am is also being supported by the East Region Professional Golfers Association and will see 40 teams, all including PGA professionals, battle it out for supremacy.
Barry Gibbs, Managing Director at CCV Sports and Leisure said: “Maylands is a great club and supporting their 2012 Pro-Am competition is an honour.
The day promises to be fun-filled and competitive but it is great to know that whilst everyone is enjoying themselves we are also raising funds for a very worthy cause.”
Darren Parker, head professional of Maylands, said: “I am delighted we have CCV Sports & Leisure supporting our 2012 Pro-Am.
“We have built a great relationship over the years with Barry and his team at CCV Sports Leisure. We are looking forward to seeing everyone on June 6 and helping to raise lots of money for Make a Wish Foundation.”
