London Raiders new signing Olegs Lascenko ‘can’t wait’ to get on the ice for his new club.

The Latvian, who used to play for the Romford juniors, is keen to once again put on the gold and blue and play his heart out for the fans this upcoming season.

The 19-year-old said: “Raiders - is great club with a history and active supporters.

“The invitation to play for Raiders was a pleasant surprise.

“The club management is well known to me, therefore I accepted the invitation without hesitation.”

Lascenko, who has played for Essex rivals Chelmsford, former EPL side Bracknell Bees and Latvian club Leipaja is excited to get started.

“I’m now awaiting the start of the season with excitement,” he added.

“It’s great to be back in this atmosphere again and I think everything will go well.”

He joins from Bracknell, where he made 45 appearances, scoring eight goals with 10 assists for 18 points last campaign.

But he is already setting targets for himself and the team to achieve.

“My aim is always the same, to win,” he said.

“We’re playing for our supporters, so every game is very important.

“The team can lose, but supporters will be cheering you up no matter what.

“I can’t wait to get on ice now.”
