Forward’s exit is ‘by mutual consent’

London Raiders announced last night that young forward Jack Lee has left the club.

Lee was brought to the club from capital rivals Haringey in the summer by former player-coach Danny Marshall, but suffered a shoulder injury on his debut in the season-opening win over Cardiff.

And, despite missing only four matches, Lee found his opportunities limited at the Lee Valley-based club and had just one assist to his name in 22 appearances.

A statement on the club’s Facebook page said: “The London Raiders can announce that by mutual consent Jack Lee will leave the club. “This is a totally amicable arrangement and the team are very aware that they were not able to offer Jack the ice time that he needs to progress and fulfil his potential.

“We hope that Jack is able to secure a roster spot that gives the amount of ice time that he needs.

“We would like to thank Jack for his efforts for what has been a difficult time at the Raider and wish him well at his future team.”

Lee wanted to extend his thanks to the Raiders fans, saying: “I just want to say thank you to all of the fans for being so supportive and behind me and making me feel welcome into the team.

“I can’t thank you all enough, and wish you all the best of luck for the future. JL#71”

Raiders are set to visit Bracknell and Oxford this weekend, having lost to Milton Keynes Thunder and Invicta last weekend.
