Lakeside Hammers manager Kelvin Tatum hopes a return to home comforts can help them get back to winning ways against Mildenhall this evening (Friday).

The Hammers will be looking to bounce back from two straight away defeats to Belle Vue and Isle of Wight last week.

But the Purfleet-based side will be without Zach Wajtknecht for the clash, who will be riding for Premership Club Swindon, although they have swooped in to book talented Eastbourne Eagles teenager Tom Brennan as a guest for their National meeting at the Arena-Essex Raceway.

David Mason is also returning from injury.

Tatum said: “Last week was a tough week, but we’re unbeaten at home and desperately want to keep that going against Mildenhall.

“We know how important it is to keep winning our home meetings, and although we’re without Zach Wajtknecht we’re looking for three more points.

“We’ve got David Mason back, he says he’s raring to go, and Tom Brennan is flying at the moment and comes in as a guest.”

The meeting starts at 8pm.

Hammers: Tom Brennan (G), George Hunter, David Mason, Alfie Bowtell, Ben Morley, Jamie Couzins and Nick Laurence.

Mildenhall: Connor Mountain, Luke Ruddick, Jon Armstrong, Danno Verge, Dan Halsey, Sam Woods and Alex Spooner.
