Romford bowler could face Commonwealth Games gold medalist

Romford bowler Steve Mitchinson may have crashed out of the county singles in his first match for the second summer running, but he is still in demand on the international circuit.

After helping England to wins in the last two Home International Championships, he has been selected for the event again this year.

Taking on Scotland, Ireland and Wales, the internationals will take place in England this year at Victoria Park in Leamington Spa, beginning on June 30.

Mitchinson has also been selected for the England team to face the touring Australians at the same venue on July 1.

He is part of a five-man team and could come up against Commonwealth Games gold medalist Aaron Wilson.

Mitchinson is out of the county singles, but he is still in the triples and pairs in this year’s competitions.

And he also has those internationals to go for.
