Bech ruled out of busy Elite League spell
The Vortex Lakeside Hammers head into four crucial Elite League meetings in six days without young Dane Mikkel Bech, who suffered a wrist injury over the weekend while mountain biking.
The team take on the Belle Vue Aces at the Raceway this coming Friday (August 15), inbetween visits to the Poole Pirates on Wednesday (August 13) and Leicester Lions on Saturday (August 16), before a return against the Aces in Manchester next Monday (August 18).
England’s World Cup star Danny King, who cut his racing teeth at the Arena Essex Raceway, will deputise for Bech this Friday with the club using guest Rory Schlein as Bech’s replacement at Poole, Belle Vue and Leicester.
Bech was already due to miss Saturday’s meeting against the Lions due to his World Under-21 commitments.
