Everyone Active Raiders have announced they will be playing two pre-season friendlies ahead of the upcoming 2018/19 National League South One season.
The Romford-based outfit will face National League North One outfit Telford Tigers in back-to-back fixtures on September, 1 and 2.
They will make the trip up north on Saturday before returning home to the Sapphire Ice and Leisure Centre on Sunday (5.15pm) as both sides look to prepare for their upcoming campaigns.
It has been over a decade since the two teams last met with the Tigers replacing the Raiders in the now defunct EPL when the club dropped down in 2010.
The sides had an intense rivalry back in the early 1990’s which included players such as Wayne Crawford, Chuck Taylor, Jason Hannigan and Todd Bidner to name a few.
Telford come into this challenge off the back of a solid 2017/2018 season which saw them reach the Coventry finals where a polished Basingstoke performance denied them of the final win of the season.
Much of the Tigers senior talent has re-signed and the games will give both teams a chance to size up the task ahead.
Raiders themselves have announced the signings of two former Tigers ahead of the new season in defenceman Dan Scott and forward Blaho Novak.
