Everyone Active Raiders have announced the signings of treble winning Aaron Connolly and Dan Scott from Basingstoke Bison ahead of the 2018/19 season.
The 25-year-old Connolly led the Bison to plenty of silverware in his five seasons at the club including last season’s treble.
Last season he scored 72 points (41 goals, 31 assists) in all competitions and finished eighth in the league scoring charts, picking up the league’s player of the month award for December and being selected to the NIHL All-Star second line.
Connolly also picked up the joint player of the year prize at the Basingstoke awards evening and led the team to both the EPL and National League titles during his time in Hampshire.
“I am really looking forward to joining the Raiders and can’t wait to get started,” Connolly said. “I was really impressed with the way the Raiders played last season and hopefully I can help the team to winning some silverware.
“I think the supporters have waited long enough now and I can’t see any reason why we can’t achieve that goal.
“One thing that stands out in my memory from playing the Raiders last year was the atmosphere and support they had from the fans and I’m sure they will be back behind the boys again for this season.
“I know a fair amount of the team and Sean Easton from my time in Chelmsford.”
Also joining is defenceman Scott, who was selected to the NIHL All-Star first line and was Basingstoke’s joint player of the year with Connolly.
The 26-year-old made his senior debut for Invicta Dynamos, before finishing his junior career at Northwood School in the United States.
Scott has also spent time at Telford Tigers, Coventry Blaze, Hull Stingrays and Slough Jets in his career.
At Basingstoke he made 77 appearances scoring 21 goals and 18 assists for 39 points and winning league, play-offs and Final Four weekend honours.
“I am really looking forward to getting started in the gold and blue jersey,” said Scott.
“I’ve just come off a very successful season and want to continue that with the Raiders.
“It was amazing to see how well Sean had his team drilled last year and I’m very happy I am now a part of that.”
