Raiders out to silence Thunder

ENL Division 1

Romford Raiders v MK Thunder

Following a comfortable 10-2 win at bottom club Swindon, Raiders will look to make it 10 games unbeaten as the Thunder come to Rom Valley Way on Sunday (5.15pm).

Captain Anthony Leone netted twice against the Wildcats last weekend and admitted some games against the lower clubs can be “a bit boring”.

But he also warned Raiders cannot afford to slip up if they are to maintain their title push.

Thunder have upset Invicta already this season and only lost 5-4 to leaders Isle of Wight after some controversy.

They include former Raiders fans favourite Jamie Randall, but have been hit by injury problems in recent weeks and Raiders should not have any serious problems clinching another two points.

Leading men, Raiders: Danny Marshall 65 points (19+46), Frankie Harvey 45 (20+25), Juraj Huska 39 (25+14).

M Keynes: Ross Bowers 39 (26+13), Jamie Randall 25 (3+22), Harrison Goode 20 (8+12).

ENL Division 2

Streatham Bruins v Romford Fury

A 4-4 draw at Lee Valley enabled Fury to end their seven-game losing streak last weekend.

But they might be thinking it was a case of the one that got away, having led 4-2.

David Dunnage netted a brace against his former club, while Dan Restarick returned to action on the blue line.

And Fury will be hoping to complete a double over bottom club Streatham, having won 4-3 at Rom Valley Way earlier in the season.
