Raiders seeking revenge

ENL Div 1: RAIDERS v Chelmsford (5.15pm)

REVENGE is a dish best served cold, so the saying goes.

And Raiders will be champing at the bit to redress the balance after last weekend’s historic 1-0 defeat at the Riverside.

Three successive defeats and only three goals scored in nine periods has given player-coach Danny Marshall a headache, to go with Frankie Harvey’s sore arm.

They could unveil a new import forward, though, after Al Visockas struggled to cut the mustard in the point-scoring stakes.

ENL Div 2: Oxford v FURY (5pm)

ALAN SAMPSON continues his recovery from a broken leg, as his teammates visit the university city.

Sampson suffered the unfortunate injury against table-topping Solent at Rom Valley Way two weeks ago, with the match cut short at 7-1 in the visitors favour.

Oxford have won all three home games to date, and were also successful in Bristol, but Fury could upset them if they can manage to raise their own game.

ENL Div 1: Oxford V RAIDERS (6.15pm)

RAIDERS follow their Fury clubmates into the Oxpens Road rink a day later and nothing less than a win will do.

Ken Forshee is well know to Romford followers and his Stars surprised some by signing an import goalie in Robin Lindva.

But they have shown inconsistency this term and Raiders will be hoping to bring the points back to Essex.
