Certis Insurance backing world no.19

Hornchurch firm Certis Insurance are giving their backing to world number 19 Jamie Caven in a 12-month sponsorship deal.

Caven lost to former champion Raymond van Barneveld at this year’s PDC World Championships at Alexandra Palace and is due to hold an exhibition at the RUSS Club in Mawney Road, Romford on August 7.

Sales director Adam May said: “I used to play with Wayne Mardle at the Becontree Leisure Centre when I was young and have followed darts ever since.

“It all happened through Twitter. I started following Jamie, wished him a happy new year, and he followed back. We’ve agreed a 12-month deal for him to have our name on his shirt.”
