Havering women in title hunt

Men’s East Division 4SE

Havering II v Upminster III (12.30pm)

There is nothing but local pride at stake in this rearranged derby at Campion.

Havering are already assured of third place, having seen Colchester and Brentwood claim promotion, while Upminster’s relegation has been confirmed.

The two sides met at Coopers only two weeks ago, when Havering eased to a 6-1 victory.

And the hosts should be able to complete a comfortable double as the curtain comes down on the season this weekend.

Women’s East Division 1S

Crostyx v Upminster (1.30pm)

Upminster saw their hopes of a second successive promotion come to an end against table-topping St Albans at Coopers last weekend.

But a third-place finish in their first season at this level is guaranteed for Michelle Dixey’s side and they will look to end the campaign on a high at mid-table Crostyx.

A single goal proved enough for Upminster when the two sides met in early November and with a combined total of 70 goals scored from 42 league games between them over the course of the season, it could be another tight contest.

Division 2SW

Havering v Waltham Forest II (11am)

Last weekend’s 7-2 win over Stevenage was not enough to clinch the title for Havering, with Letchworth hitting seven goals themselves to stay just two points behind Catherine Semon’s side in the table.

But a point is all that is needed against mid-table Forest at Campion to see Havering crowned on the last day of the campaign.

Havering cut Forest down to size when they met in early November, romping to a 10-2 win, and are averaging five goals per game overall so should have the firepower to finish the job off this weekend.
