Students to test Havering

East Premier A: Cambridge Uni v HAVERING

Gaz Ingram’s hat-trick led Havering to a 4-2 win over previously unbeaten Bishop’s Stortford last weekend and they leapt up to third place as a result.

Still unbeaten themselves, Paul Johnson’s men take on a University side who are right behind them in the table, following their win over Ipswich.

But Havering have taken points from all three of their away games to date and should travel in confident mood again.

Div 1: UPMINSTER v Felixstowe

Hard done by in their 5-4 defeat at Ipswich, Upminster return to Coopers needing some points.

Nick Payne’s men are above the bottom two only on goal difference, but boast a short corner specialist in Harry Trusler.

Goalkeeper Jared Ford impressed last week, despite conceding five times, and Upminster will need their star men to feature to get the better of third-placed Felixstowe.

Div 4SE: Witham II v ROMFORD

Stuart Boyling’s treble led Romford to a comfortable derby success against Upminster 3rds at Robert Clack and another success could lift them into the top three.

Witham were edged out 2-1 by high-flying Brentwood 2nds but were 5-0 winners in their last home match against East London.
