Johnson wants home rule

East Premier A

DRAW specialists Havering were at it again at Ipswich last week.

They got themselves into a winning position, but let slip and had to settle for 2-2, their third draw in four outings.

Paul Johnson wants them to turn Campion into a fortress and they are certainly creating enough chances in matches. New hotshot Gaz Ingram has only found the net in one game so far, but hit four in the last home outing. A repeat would be nice.

CAPTAIN Nick Payne might settle for a boring 1-0 win as Upminster are proving very inconsistent so far this term.

Unable to field a settled side, they produced a sloppy first half on the way to a 4-3 home defeat against Waltham Forest last weekend.

A DERBY at Robert Clack, which gives these two sides a chance to climb the table.

With only win from four so far this season, they both have room for improvement and will be looking to rally from defeats last weekend.

Upminster slipped to a 2-0 home reverse against table-topping Brentwood 3rds, while Romford had trouble getting 11 men on the field in their 4-0 loss at mid-table rivals Old Southendian.
