Finals at Romford

ROMFORD stages not one, but two finals tonight as a host of canine stars head back to the London Road track.

First up final-wise is the Tony Williams Marathon final over 750m where the advice must be to keep faith with in-form KNOCKIES HANNAH (9.04pm). There was not a lot to choose on the clock with her and fellow heat scorer Ministry Magpie, but our lady will lead!

The other final is the Steve Simmons March Hare Trophy over 400m, and ARDBEG MENTOR (9.20pm) is probably the percentage call with the blue jacket of trap two more likely to see him trap in front, but keep tabs here with Balmi Blue, who will be a big price and comes into the reckoning if it becomes a messy affair.

Good to see star sprinter ROTAR WING (7.45pm) back on track and he shouldn’t less us down, while other likely winners on a tough but classy card include PAMS TOMJO (8.01pm) and MINNIES PENSKE (10.40pm), who looks the ideal ‘getting out’ bet in the lucky last!

And don’t shout ‘fore’ shout one with STORMBEAM (9.52pm) in the Burnham On Crouch Golf Club Derby.
