West Ham United have made Joe Hart their first signing of the summer with the goalkeeper joining on a season long loan with an option to buy deal.

The 30-year-old joins the club after becoming out of favour at Manchester City since the arrival of manager Pep Guardiola.

Hart spent last season out of loan at Serie A club Torino, where he failed to make a real impact, before returning to his parent club at the end of the 2016/17 season.

The Shrewsbury-born keeper, who has made 71 caps for his country, started his career at his hometown club, before moving to Manchester City, where he has spent majority of his time other than loan spells.

Hart will now link up with his new team-mates in Austria where the Hammers are on tour.

But his arrival does bring doubts over the future’s of current West Ham keepers Adrian and Darren Randolph.
