Romford boss Paul Martin wants his side to start putting in a complete performance as they bid for a Bank Holiday win double.

Boro bounced back from Saturday’s late 2-1 Ryman One North defeat to Waltham Abbey with a 4-2 home win over Dereham Town on Wednesday night.

But Martin wants his side to address the issue of sloppy second halves at Maldon tomorrow (Saturday) and at home against Great Wakering Rovers on Monday after seeing his side lose their concentration and let Dereham back into the game in midweek.

“I was pleased with the first-half showing, but the second half was a 2-2 and for some unknown reason that I can’t quite put my finger on at the moment, we aren’t matching our first-half efforts.

“We will have to try and work on that as you can’t continue to let sides back into games.”

Both Bank Holiday weekend fixtures will be on good playing surfaces according to the Boro boss and he feels that will benefit his side.

“We were a bit of a bogey side for Maldon last season in taking four points off of them and lets hope we can keep that up. It will be a decent pitch over there,” he added.

“And when we follow that up with a home game on the good surface we have at Thurrock then that should give us a good chance to pick up some points.

“Great Wakering will be a tough one as we generally struggle against the sides down the bottom and they are taking a bit of time to get back used to Ryman One North football.

“But every side has to get a result sometime and hopefully that won’t happen on Monday.”

Abs Seymour will be missing from the Romford squad for both fixtures after picking up a hamstring injury, while four-goal Ryan Imbert is unavailable on Monday.
