Boro suffered first loss of season after going down 3-0 at Blues
Romford manager Paul Martin expressed his frustration at his side’s inability to take their chances after a 3-0 loss at Barking in the Bostik North.
Boro saw their unbeaten start to the new term come to a juddering halt with a disappointing defeat on their trip to the Blues.
Darrelle Russell scored twice for the hosts, while Joe Bruce netted a penalty in stoppage time for Barking.
Romford, though, had plenty of chances of their own and Martin was annoyed his side were unable to make them tell in their defeat against the Blues
“I was massively disappointed with both the result and the performance,” he said.
“We knew our unbeaten start wasn’t going to last forever, but if you don’t take your chances, you’re going to get punished.
“We missed a penalty at 1-0 down and we also hit the woodwork, so that shows we created chances and it’s disappointing we didn’t take them.”
