Urchins start at Maldon

Hornchurch have announced a series of pre-season friendlies ahead of the 2011/12 Ryman Premier Division season.

Urchins begin their preparations for the new campaign with a trip to Maldon & Tiptree on Saturday July 16, then visit Great Wakering and Harlow on successive Saturdays.

Jimmy McFarlane’s men will welcome Tonbridge Angels, newly-promoted to the Conference South, to Bridge Avenue on Tuesday August 2 and entertain a West Ham United XI four days later.

After a midweek trip to Heybridge Swifts (August 9), Urchins return home to welcome Maidstone on August 13, with a 1.30pm kick-off.

Romford have so far announced two dates, with a trip to Felixstowe & Walton on July 30 for first and reserve-team games, being followed by a midweek jaunt to Witham Town (August 2).
