Urchins, Boro look to push on
Carshalton v Hornchurch
Jonathan Hunt’s double did for Cray to keep Urchins lurking just on the periphery of the play-off picture.
And manager Jimmy McFarlane would be happy to see his men, just one point off the top five, remain in the shadows for the time being.
Another away-day success at Carshalton could lift them as high as fourth, though, if other results are kind, but the Robins will be looking to ignite their own bid before they fall too far off the pace.
Brentwood v Romford
Successive away wins at Heybridge and Cheshunt – both by a 3-2 scoreline – have kept Boro firmly in the promotion race.
And their success this season is turning out to be a real squad effort, with the six goals scored in those two matches shared between five different players.
Brentwood have been having problems on and off the pitch, with Les Whitton resigning as manager this week after only one win in the last five.
Steve Witherspoon steps back into the hotseat for Blues, who have been hit by a rash of postponements since the turn of the year.
But Romford know all about that too.
