Bostik North: Mildenhall Town 0 Romford 0

Romford picked up their first away clean sheet of the season in the Bostik North with a 0-0 draw at Mildenhall Town.

Boro had the best of the chances in the first half and created plenty of problems for the home defence.

Ernest Okoh, Chiduben Onokwai and Ayo Olukoga all went close for Paul Martin’s men, but the visitors could not find a goal before the break.

Town started the second half the better, with the Ship Lane outfit slowly worked their way into the game.

After denying Mildenhall on several occasions, Romford nearly scored a late winner, but Nathan Okoye saw his close range effort saved by home stopper Jake Hallett.

There was still time for Town to crack the woodwork with a late effort through Matthew Green, but there was to be no goal as the game ended 0-0.

Boro will be looking for another away league clean sheet on Saturday when they visit Soham Town Rangers.
