Urchins visit Manor

LAST SEASON’S beaten finalists Hornchurch will begin this term’s Essex Senior Cup quest at Eton Manor.

The draw for the third round handed Urchins a trip to the Essex Senior League side, who play at Barking and are unbeaten in five league games this season, while Romford were given a home tie against another ESL side in Stansted.

Colchester, who beat Hornchurch 2-1 in the delayed final in August, must visit League One rivals Dagenham & Redbridge.

Aveley visit neighbours Tilbury, while former West Ham hero Julian Dicks takes his Grays Athletic side to previous club Wivenhoe. Ties are to be played on or before November 6.

Essex Senior Cup, 3rd rnd: Romford vs Stansted; Heybridge Swifts vs Maldon & Tiptree; Wivenhoe Town vs Grays Athletic; Chelmsford City vs Witham Town; Canvey Island vs Harlow Town; Southend United vs Barking; Bowers & Pitsea vs Brentwood Town; Tilbury vs Aveley; Hullbridge Sports vs Redbridge; London APSA or Basildon United vs Billericay Town; Eton Manor vs AFC Hornchurch; East Thurrock United vs Waltham Abbey; Great Wakering Rovers vs Waltham Forest; Concord Rangers vs Thurrock; Dagenham & Redbridge vs Colchester United; Braintree Town vs Ilford.
