Dockers win league cup tie

ROMFORD bowed out of the Ryman League Cup after a 2-1 home defeat against Tilbury last night.

Both sides had good chances to open the scoring before Nick Reynolds eventually headed Boro in front from Joe Pearman’s corner.

But the home side’s lead lasted only four minutes before Harry Cook nodded past Neil Finn, making his 199th appearance for Romford, to level.

The visitors booked their place in the next round when substitute Marc Cleary headed home at the far post.
