The application system for ‘Team Sixteen’ has now opened for the 2014/15 academic year, with a range of benefits for schools who sign up to the student-led lunchtime football programme which provides teenagers with leadership and playing opportunities.

Team Sixteen aims to encourage students to plan their own football events with the support of their teachers.

The initiative particularly attempts to provide chances to play for students who may not get involved regularly out of school, inspiring and empowering the next generation of football leaders.

Schools who may be interested might have enough girls who like football to start a team, or a B or C side.

It can be tailored to meet the needs of each individual school and it provides the perfect hassle free platform to get more players playing through student-led activity.

The programme will provide resources and a toolkit to help deliver Team Sixteen in each school.

To take advantage of the opportunity, applicants just need to decide how many weeks they would like to run the programme for and visit http://surveys.tmgsupport.co.uk/team16registration.html.
