Midfielder joins on temporary deal from Millwall until January 2

Dagenham & Redbridge boss Peter Taylor has added to his squad by bringing in Millwall youngster Harry Donovan on loan until January 2.

The midfielder becomes Daggers’ sixth signing of the summer and will add to the Essex club’s options in the middle of the park.

The 20-year-old will wear the number eight shirt during his time at Victoria Road, and Taylor was thrilled to bring in another talented youngster.

“I am delighted to have Harry on board. I really want to thank Millwall and in particular Neil Harris for allowing Harry to come to us, “ Taylor told the club website.

“It’s an important time in Harry’s career and we are looking forward to helping Harry in his development.”

Donovan added: “I’m really excited and looking forward to the season starting and playing competitively again.

“I’m a local boy, brought up in Upminster and have watched the Daggers from the terraces with my dad.

“A big incentive for me was to work under Peter Taylor, who I am sure will help me gain experience and improve my game.

“I’m a player who likes to get the ball. During a game I’m not afraid to roll my sleeves up and get involved, and I’m always 100 per cent committed on the pitch.”
