Full-back has been troubled by knee injury throughout pre-season
Dagenham & Redbridge boss Peter Taylor admits it is touch and go as to whether Ben Nunn will be fit to play against his former club Boreham Wood on the opening day of the new National League season.
The Essex club head for Wood on August 4, when they will look to get the new campaign off to a flyer.
However, doubts remain over Nunn’s involvement in that game with the defender having been troubled by a knee injury throughout pre-season.
New signing Alex Davey, also an ex-Wood defender, has been plagued by injury as well during pre-season and Taylor admits he is another who is doubtful for the trip to Meadow Park.
“It’s going to be a close shout with regards to Alex and Ben as to whether or not they’ll be right for the start of the season, so it’s a bit frustrating,” said Taylor.
In Nunn’s absence, summer signing Gavin Hoyte has lined up at right-back during the early pre-season fixtures.
