Dagenham & Redbridge manager Peter Taylor had mixed feelings after letting a lead slip and losing 1-2 to Hartlepool United on Saturday.

The Daggers got off to a strong start and found themselves 1-0 up at the break thanks to a goal from Alex McQueen.

But they were pegged back by goals from Michael Woods and Liam Noble to seal the three points for the Pools.

“Disappointed, I thought we played well first-half, I thought we started really well and deserved a lead at half-time,” Taylor said.

“But the game is 90 minutes and unfortunately for us we gave away a poor goal away where we had the ball then lost the ball easily and it cost us.

“The start of the match and the first 45 minutes was really good I thought the players showed great enthusiasm.

“I think at times we could have scored more than one goal but as soon as the equaliser goes in the second-half where we lost the ball cheaply some of their heads seemed to drop.”
