Dagenham & Redbridge made it back-to-back wins and extended their unbeaten run to three matches thanks to Elliot Romain’s last-minute winner in the north west.
Having beaten Braintree 1-0 in midweek, after a goalless draw with Salford City, Peter Taylor’s men made it seven points from a possible nine with a hard-fought success on the road.
Dagenham’s first chance came on 10 minutes when Tobi Adeloye fired just wide.
John Rooney was just off target for the hosts on the quarter-hour mark, but Adeloye went close twice in quick succession for Daggers soon after.
Elliot Justham produced a fingertip save to deny the hosts on 19 minutes, before Adeloye had an effort cleared off the line by Granite.
Harry Donovan and Ben Goodliffe was booked were both shown yellow yellow cards, before Adeloye forced another save from Firth on 32 minutes.
Justham saved well from Burgess, after s scuffed clearance, before Adeloye had penalty appeals waved away after going down in the box.
Will Wright then saw a header from Gavin Hoyte’s free-kick cleared by the home defence a minute before the break, but Barrow began the second half well, with Granite heading over from a free-kick on 50 minutes.
Adeloye was booked for a late challenge on Granite before making way for Chike Kandi, with Hindle firing wide for Barrow before the break.
Smith was inches away from connecting with a dangerous ball into the Dagenham box, before Lamar Reynolds replaced Donovan and the visitors began to enjoy more pressure.
Luke Pennell fired wide from a long throw-in, while Reynolds headed high and wide and Kandi was then denied by the woodwork as his chip hit the crossbar on 82 minutes.
But Daggers finally got their reward in the last minute of normal time when Romain found the net after finding space in the box and firing past Firth.
And they held on for all three points as Barrow missed a chance to draw level in the final stages of injury time.
