Dagenham & Redbridge crashed out of the FA Cup as they fell to a 1-0 defeat to National League rivals in their fourth qualifying round replay.
Daggers forced a replay after two stoppage time goals at Meadow Park to make it 2-2 but were outplayed on home soil to miss out on an away trip to Southport in the first round of the cup competition.
Manager Peter Taylor made four changes from the side who earnt his side a replay on the weekend with Alex McQueen, Tomi Adeloye, Ollie Harfield and Alex Davey coming in to replace captain Ben Nunn, Liam Gordon, Lamar Reyolds and Chike Kandi with the later three dropping to the bench.
Daggers started strongly and had majority of the possession in the opening five minutes but the first chance fell for Wood in the sixth minute as Ricky Shakes fired a shot but McQueen blocked it.
In the 14th minute captain on the night Matt Robinson shanked a shot well wide of the goal from distance after Adeloye laid it back to the midfielder following a great play from his partner Mullings to bring the ball down.
Five minutes later Mullings won the ball again, played it inside for Adeloye, who released Harfield.
The winger then tried to cut the ball back but Wood managed to clear the ball up field before the hosts then had another chance shortly after as Mullings was picked out inside the six yard box.
But the striker missed the incoming cross from McQueen after he was picked out on the right flank from a reserve pass from Adeloye.
In the 27th minute Kieran Murtagh looked to go wide but cut back inside and fired a shot but his effort goes flying over the bar.
Wood started to come into their own and defender Manny Parry missed a golden opportunity as he was unmarked inside the box but sent his header wide.
They kept pushing on and almost scrambled home a corner after Robinson deflected their original effort out.
The visitors broke the deadlock on the stroke of half-time as Jamal Fyfield poked the ball home at the back post as Justham scrambled to try get across the goal.
Wood almost doubled their lead in added time as Will Wright tried to play the ball back but Gozie Ugwu intercepted the ball and allowed him through on goal.
Justham came out and made a huge save to keep the score at 1-0.
After a slow start to the first-half with Wood dominating the early proceddings, Daggers finally got a chance as Robinson half-volleyed the ball on the edge of the box, but his effort was blocked and bounced around before it was eventually cleared.
A minute later Wood striker Ugwu drilled a shot off the crossbar as Justham just watched it go past him.
In the 73rd minute Wood forward Umerah drove a shot on goal with power but Justham got his hands to it before McQueen cleared an effort from Ugwu off the line to prevent the visitors taking a 2-0 lead three minutes later.
Straight back down the other end, Harfield makes a darting run and let a screamer fly from 25 yards out, and his effort went just inches wide of Ryan Huddart’s goal.
In the 85th minute Wood substitute Justin Shaibu beat three Daggers defenders but didn’t get enough on his shot just moments after coming on to replace Umerah.
