Dagenham & Redbridge striker Tomi Adeloye is delighted to get his first goal for the club in their 2-1 defeat to Halifax Town.

The 22-year-old striker netted in the 33rd minute when he was on hand to turn a half-volley into the back of the net to level the proceedings and cancel out Matty Kosylo’s 28th minute opener.

Halifax then netted the eventual winner in the 59th minute thanks to Jonathan Edwards at the Shay.

The recent signing revealed his delight to find the net but also admitted it was a frustrating result for the Daggers and they must keep fighting for their first victory of the National League season.

Adeloye tweeted after the match: “Really frustrating result today (Saturday) but we gotta stay positive and stick together.

“On a personal note happy to open my account for the season, we’ll keep fighting.”

Adeloye will be keen to add to his account against Hartlepool United on Saturday.
