Davidsson ready to race again

Lakeside Hammers will welcome back Swedish star Jonas Davidsson earlier than expected after the fans favourite confirmed his wish to return to the side with immediate effect.

Davidsson will return to the Essex club in time for their final, and most crucial, Elite League meeting of the season against in-form Birmingham on Friday.

Co-promoter Jon Cook said: “We are all delighted to have JD (Jonas Davidsson) back with us and his keenness to get over here and start racing is great news for us.

“He will come into the side for Friday’s home match and it’s a big boost for us ahead of yet another must-win meeting. “The 46 League points total is now within our grasp and if we get there our chances of play-off qualification look good, especially with other recent results generally having been in our favour.”

Friday’s Elite League action gets underway at the Arena-Essex Raceway at 8pm, with the grand parade of riders scheduled for 7.45pm.

Admission prices are: Adults £16, Senior Citizens, Students and Disabled £12, Unemployed and Children aged 17-18 £10, Children aged 6-16 £1, with children under 6 free if accompanied by an paying adult.

Proof of age or status may be asked for. Tickets will be available on the night of the meeting or may be purchased in advance via the club’s website.
