Levett Essex Leopards coach Thomas Baker is ready for the challenge of facing Team USA in a pair of friendlies next week.

The Big Cats host the touring American side at Oaklands College on Friday, September 1 (7.30pm) before meeting at the Brentwood Centre on Sunday September, 3 (4.00pm).

“As the season nears, I am looking forward to starting to see the guys in action, as we start to formalise the roster it is going to be great to see these players pull on the Leopards’ uniform as we edge nearer to our games against Team USA,” Baker said.

“It’s been a good summer so far for us, over nearly 30 players past, present and new have tried out for the team, it just goes to show how strong the Leopards brand is.

“Recruitment has been good, and there is a great feeling amongst the players currently, they are all itching to get on the floor and show the fans that we deserve to back in Division One and the games against Team USA is where we can show them just what this season holds for us”.
