Havering Cormorants are in dire need of funding to improve facilities

Havering Cormorants Diving Club have announced the sad passing of club secretary Val Morrison following a battle with lung cancer.

Morrison worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the club was up to date with all current legislation and that it met all required standards set by the ASA.

She also dived in the adult classes and was well known in the master circuits and the club sends its condolences to friends and family in this sad time.

For those wishing to attend, the funeral will be held at South East Crematorium, Ockendon Road, Upminster, on Friday (November 17) at 4pm.

Havering Cormorants would also like to arrange a collection for some flowers and a donation to Val’s chosen charity, St Francis Hospice, which is committed to providing free, person-centred care to those affected by a life-limiting illness.

Donations can be made to the club’s bank account or handed in to a coach during lessons.
