‘One point better than none’

DANNY MARSHALL is trying to focus on the positives after Romford Raiders 4-4 draw with ENL Division One rivals Bracknell.

Raiders raced into a 2-0 lead inside four minutes at the weekend, but needed a late goal from 18-year-old Frankie Harvey, which completed his hat-trick, to claim a point against the Hornets.

Player-coach Marshall had expected to beat Ben Pitchley’s side, but said: “We nicked a draw in the end, which is better than a loss.

“We started really well, but started to ease off and it went downhill from there really.

“They got back into it and we found it hard to get going again. Their goalie stood on his head and they made it a hard night for us.”
