Dagenham & Redbridge manager Daryl McMahon knows he now has a selection headache as they head into the hectic festive fixture list.
Daggers will travel to strugglers Dover Athletic on Boxing Day to play in front of the BT Sport cameras (5.20pm kick-off) before they host Bromley on Monday, December 28.
It is then the reverse fixture against Kent side Dover on Saturday, January 2, but the boss is pleased to have most of his squad at his disposal after overcoming an early season injury crisis.
“We knew we’d have players coming in, Charlee Adams came in, Liam Gordon after coming back, Ang (Angelo Balanta) back in the team and Robbo (Matt Robinson),” McMahon told the Post.
“I thought Robbo was excellent, he’s been training ever so well, and has just come back from his illness. We have got a strong squad now so it’s about them trying to give me a headache in terms of picking a team for Dover, Bromley, and then Dover again.
“We’ve got a packed January as well so we need everyone fit and firing. The spirit amongst the group is very good right now as well.”
Dagenham head into those fixtures after beating league leaders Torquay United before backing that up with a comfortable 5-2 win over Ebbsfleet United in the FA Trophy.
“We know we’ve got good players in the building, we just want to get on with the games now. There has been a lot of talking about different things but we just want to put some points on the board and climb up the table.”
Elliot Johnson moved into a centre-back role for the Fleet win, which gives McMahon even more of a headache.
“El played there for the majority of last season at Barnet, they played three at the back and he played left side, and he slots in there well.
“He can play wing-back, full-back and at the left-side of centre-half. Obviously we’ve got Crolly (Luke Croll) as well who has probably been our best player so far this season.
“We’ve got some decisions to make.”
They have also brought left-back Liam Gordon back to the club on a one-month loan deal from Bolton Wanderers after the youngster left the Daggers in the summer.
“I said in my pre-match that I've kept in touch with Liam, we didn’t want him to go in the summer, and I want to help him develop in his career, whether that is with us or elsewhere."
