Navestock continue to set the Mid-Essex League Division Five a light and maintain their 100 per cent record.

The first team brushed a side Rayleigh three’s, who produced a disciplined bowling effort restricting Navestock to 84-5.

The side managed a further 133 runs from the last 15 overs as Matt Richards (33), Matt Simmons (21) and a blistering unbeaten Manish Patel (43) lifted them to 217-9.

The visitors never recovered after Billy Lozowski’s opening burst of 3-35 and tumbled to 92 all out, as Simmons (4-20) and Nilesh Patel (2-19) made hay.

The seconds didn’t have the same luck as they decided to field first on a challenging wicket at Chignal.

The hosts Shah (46) and Clarke (52) made it 163-9, with Jack Gildersleeve (3-42) and Zac Decastro-Bunce (2-19) having success with the ball.

In reply Greg Forster (29) got them off to a good start, but they still finished with a disappointing 117-9.
