Hornchurch Athletic collected another success in the T. Rippon Mid-Essex League Division One with a four-wicket victory at Great Baddow.

Bowling first, the Hylands Park outfit dismissed their hosts for 135 as Tyler Marks took 6-40.

Sam Samarasekera then top scored with 44 as Athletic completed their chase fairly comfortably.

The seconds were also in winning form as they beat Writtle seconds by five wickets in Division Five.

Athletic dismissed their hosts for 131, before Chris Humphries struck 40 in a successful chase.

The thirds also took on Writtle opponents in the form of their thirds and also recorded a win as they triumphed by 70 runs.

Sanjeev Mishra top scored with 77 as Athletic were all out for 199, before Nick Willis took 5-45 as Writtle were dismissed for 129.

An understrength fourth XI suffered a nine-wicket defeat on their trip to Boreham seconds.
