Upminster slipped further towards relegation from the Essex League Premier Division with defeat at Chelmsford.
Captain Matt Tigg chose to bat first at Chelmer Park but saw openers Shafiq Rahman and Kiran Kullar fall early to leave them 3-2.
And wickets continued to fall at regular intervals as Ben Waring ran through the batting order to finish with 6-14 from 14 overs.
Shahbaz Butt (24) top scored as Upminster were skittled for 89 in 41 overs and Chelmsford’s openers put on 36 in reply.
Nicky Ison had some success with the ball for Tigg’s men, taking 3-18 from 10 overs, and Rahman also struck to leave the hosts 50-4.
But Upminster did not have enough runs on the board for those scalps to be anything more than consolation prizes as Chelmsford clinched a six-wicket win to move up to second in the table.
Meanwhile, Upminster are 30 points adrift at the bottom, with only two games left and set for the drop.
