Division Two title hopefuls Hutton had to settle for a draw with Loughton in their penultimate game of the season at the Polo Field Ground.

It leaves them 17 points behind leaders Hainault & Clayhall going into the final game of the season, although both clubs have already secured promotion.

Put into bat by his Loughton rival, captain Dan Hagger put on 46 with Vivian Paver (21) and another 68 with Mitchell Fenn, before falling for 77.

Alex Tredgett (22) and Usman Jan (53) also made starts as Hutton were dismissed for 232, with Loughton openers Umar Choudhry (39) and Bilaal Anwar (34) making a solid start in reply.

They fell to Jonathan Mowll and Fenn, respectively, and Paver (2-72) and Jan also got in on the act.

But Bilal Butt held firm for the visitors and was unbeaten on 75 as they closed on 193-7 after 48 overs, despite a brace of wickets from Tom Patterson (2-18).
