Bentley made it comfortable back-to-back wins in the T-Rippon Mid-Essex League Premier Division with a 150-run success over Rettendon.

They made 329-9 as Aaron Alee (93), Ash Parmenter (77) and Glen Swinney (40) shone with the bat.

And the visitors were all out for 179, as captain Swinney (6-39) and Matt Coleman (2-26) led the way.

The seconds beat fellow strugglers Rayleigh by eight wickets for a much-needed win in Division One.

Nick Binnell (4-26) and Jack Meadows (3-54) combined as the hosts were dismissed for 200, before Ollie Gordon (59), James Sapwell (44) and Rhys Sprules (41) led the way in the run chase.

But the thirds saw their dismal losing run continue as they lost by 55 runs against Noak Hill Taverners in Division Six.

Callum Smith (2-21) nabbed a brace as the hosts made 215-9, with dad Martin (1-19) also bowling well, and the youngster then scored 49 as Bentley were all out for 160.
