Brentwood ended the Shepherd Neame Essex League Premier Division season with a comforrtable win over Hadleigh.

Put into bat by the hosts, they slipped to 62-5 ass only Guy Balmford (42) made an impact in the top order.

Tom Oakley and James Redwood put on 112 for the sixth wicket, with Redwood hitting two sixes and eight fours in his 56 off 83 balls.

Ben Allison and Charlie Griffiths gave further support to Oakley, who was last man out for 88 off 123 balls, having hit 10 fours, as Brentwood were dismissed for 244 in the 59th over.

Ash Casey (2-38) and Allison (3-21) made early inroads with the ball in reply to reduce Hadleigh to 9-4, with a fifth wicket falling on 29.

And Griffiths (2-11) and Ian Belchamber (2-12) shared the other wickets to fall as Hadleigh were dismissed for 86 inside 21 overs and Brentwood finished in third place.
