Billericay enjoyed a big win over Gidea Park & Romford in their Essex League Division One derby at Gallows Corner.

Put into bat, they made a solid start through Nick Van Lint (25) and David Hinnigan (23), before Paul Walter hit a six and six fours in his 49 from 40 balls.

Ross Poulton dominated a 103-run stand with captain Lee Knight (33), hitting a six and 12 fours on his way to 84 from 67 deliveries.

And Andy Smith finished unbeaten on 28 as Billericay were dismissed for 286 in the last over.

James Pegram (3-23), Aditya Kumar (2-24) and Jamal Francis (2-36) had most success for Park, who lost Zisan Abedin cheaply in reply.

Captain Francis (29) put on 58 with Kasi Hoq, while Mohammed Fahad (28) added another 55.

But Hoq fell three runs short of a half-century and Park collapsed from 133-4 to 177 all out, with Poulton (3-27), David Houghton (3-32) and Gary Hynes (2-36) chief destroyers for Billericay.
