Bentley continued their winning ways with a resounding victory at Rayleigh this weekend.

They won the toss and posted a total of 244 for 6, which was inspired by a unbeaten half century from Steve Coleman (63), with support from Chris Pether (44), Matt Coleman (38) and Chris Walker (37).

In reply, Rayleigh fell short with 156 all out, with Bentley’s Tom Walker (3-19), Chris Walker (3-37) and Steve Flack (2-31) leading the way.

The seconds and thirds matches were abandoned due to rain.

The fourths continued their up and down season with a comfortable victory at South Woodham Ferrers.

Bentley reached a low total of 143 for eight with skipper Mark Windley (41) leading the way for the side with Dan Game (20) and Callum Smith (17) also chipping in.

In reply, South Woodham Ferrers struggled to 121 for seven against the spin bowling of Ollie Marglotta (3-29) and Paul Hollington (2-34), who defended their score and sealed the victory.
