A round-up of the latest matches involving Bentley CC teams

Bentley remain in hot pursuit of T. Rippon Mid-Essex Premier League leaders Springfield after beating Rainham by 132 runs.

After being invited to bat by their hosts, Bentley were all out for 210 after half-centuries from Ash Parmenter (57) and Lewis Whiteley (53).

Tom Walker then took 3-23 as Rainham were dismissed for only 78 in reply as Bentley celebrated a comfortable win.

Bentley return home on Saturday when they welcome Canvey Island in the league.

The seconds, meanwhile, lost by the narrowest of margins at home to their Springfield counterparts in Division One.

Bentley bowler Charlie Yorke took 3-34 with the ball as Springfield were dismissed for just 104.

The hosts looked well placed in reply after reaching 40 without loss thanks to 22 from Ollie Gordon, but a collapse saw Bentley all out for just 103.

An unbeaten 54 by Callum Smith helped the thirds beat Great Baddow by eight wickets in Division Six.
