Ardleigh Green got the better of Woodford Green in their Shepherd Neame Essex League Division Three encounter at Central Park, with the visitors falling out of the top two as a result.
Hussnain Kazmi (3-34) and Usman Azhar (3-34) made early inroads with the new ball for Woodford Green, but home skipper Lloyd Edwards had support from James Palmer (20) and Sam Brooks (26 not out) as they eventually reached 174 in the 46th over.
Edwards top scored with 65, while Mohammed Hasan (2-35) nabbed a brace for Woodford Green.
And it was a similar story in the second innings as Woodford Green’s top order collapsed in the face of spells from Shawn Harvey (2-23) and Zunair Jamil (4-36).
Brooks (2-26) got in on the act with a brace, before Matthew Field (52) and Amrit Ryatt (25) offered some resistance down the order.
Chris Cook and Trevor Oakley picked up a wicket apiece, though, as Ardleigh Green completed a 50-run win by dismissing their rivals in the 39th over.
Woodford Green collected just four points and saw Benfleet leapfrog above them into second place behind runaway leaders Old Brentwoods with only three matches remaining.
Ardleigh Green lie in fifth place, but are 63 points off the top two.
