Paul Smailes, Olivia Littlechild and Brett Thake manage to raise £2,500 for Saint Francis Hospice

Havering Tri took 30 runners to Hornchurch’s Country Park recently to take on the Spitfire Scramble 24-hour race.

Paul Smailes, Olivia Littlechild and Brett Thake took on the solo challenge, and raising money £2,500 for Saint Francis Hospice.

Overall, three teams ran for Havering Tri with Paul Collins, Nicholas Gillmore, Gary Carr, Glen Edwards, Mike Hewitt, Dave Sherman, Layla White, Spencer Littlechild and Andy Bearwish involved.

Graham Goddard, Les Nottage, Dave Barker, Neill Butcher, Craig Gregory, James Stubbs, Dean Skipper, Lisa Martindale, Lucy Edwards, Laura Homer, Kay Hamilton, Nicola Leonard, Lydia Fenny and Amy Jones, also took part and ran a combined total of 149 laps.

Cristina Cooper, Trevor Cooper, Rahana Islam, Richard Dudman, Lisa Gaskin, Lisa Thake and Nikki Warnes ran a total of 25 laps as well to take the overall total to 1528.8km.
