Havering 90 Joggers raised £160 for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal with an event that took place earlier this month.

Over 50 members came out in force to show support for the Poppy Appeal on their annual ‘Poppy Run’ around Hornchurch.

Members donated, baked cakes and took then part in a photo scavenger hunt in three teams led by Chris Thomas, Laura Dobie and Melanie Green, the organiser of the event.

Members had to get their full team in photos of different places and items around Hornchurch based on three running routes, from emergency service bases and transport stations, to signs with particular information such as containing 90 or Havering.

Hornchurch Fire Station officers kindly opened their doors for one team to have a picture with one of their engines, and not just of the Fire Station.

If you were lucky enough to get a ‘You’re In’ magazine from the London Marathon, why not come down to the club and kick start your training with a friendly running club.

Havering ’90 Joggers meet on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start time at the Abbs Cross Health & Fitness Centre in Abbs Cross.
