Harold Wood Running Club member Richard Rockliffe led by example as he completed his 100th parkrun at Raphael Park on Saturday.

Rockliffe loves American TV detective show Columbo and the club surprised him with Columbo t-shirts to mark his milestone run.

Wood had 18 members at three different parkruns, including Tunbridge Well and Chelmsford Central.

And three of the runners bagged new personal best times – James Coker (19.21), Parisa Skeldon (28.57) and Penny Reid (32.30).

The club will turn their attention to taking over the running of Raphael parkrun by volunteering for all of the roles.

And Wood will also be attending the Winter Run in London on Sunday.

Harold Wood Running Club started an ‘Introduction to Running’ programme earlier this month. For more information, or to register a place, email them at
