Many of the running club members travelled into London for the Shoreditch 10k, a new race for 2017 and they even British Olympian Tom Daly there to start the race and hand out the medals at the end of race.

It was the first 10k race for four members at the club and in total 10 of the runners managed new personal best’s.

The run is expected to turn into a series with four new runs throughout London next year.

Other club members went to the annual Big Blue run 5k at Harrow Lodge Park, which is run by Havering Mind, a charity that provides support to anyone experiencing mental health problems.

Two of the club’s runners, Linda Day and James Coker, won first place in the male and female categories.
